Went to the grand opening of the new Apple Store in Glasgow today, Scotland’s first. Wasn’t disappointed, managed to swag a free T-Shirt, but honestly was expecting a few more to be queuing than actually were – I got there about an hour before opening and was 210th in line, by 9.00 probably about 400-500 in total.

Interior of the store is very well done, a mixture of gorgeous Apple design and original stone wall features. Picked up a copy of iLife ’08, popped across the road to Starbucks and sat there watching everyone else piling in throughout the morning whilst trying the new software. Noticed that Apple’s free wifi reaches across to Starbucks, hmm one wonders how much Starbucks are going to make out of the pay for tmobile wifi??
