Hi, I have some suggestions:
1- Use the hosted version of Openlayers api
2- Have option to switch between maps like: Openstreetmap, bing maps, google map maker….
3- Transparency tool like: http://sautter.com/map/
4- Option to import Gpx files
5- Aditional layers like Panoramio.
If the ideas be implemented I could add some more.

Hi Teste

A good few suggestions there. The firefox version of Minimap has the ability to do a lot of what you suggest – what I am doing with the chrome version (for now) is to try a different approach and keep it a light/simple map for addresses.

Maybe in the future I might well overhaul all versions of Minimap and create a more generic and powerful browser based GIS, although I am currently turning my hands to learning about writing iPhone/iPad apps (jumping on the banwagon and all)
